Project Brief: Create a vinyl cling for a design of your choice. This cling must be shown in action.
The final vinyl cling was printed in white.
My goal for this project was to design, produce, and correctly apply a vinyl cling that could be placed on the windows of a business or truck.
Ideation/Brainstorming
I created a mood board from Pinterest that showed several different types of vinyl clings, so I could familiarize myself with the new material.
I brainstormed different ideas and ended up sketching a few of those ideas that I was the most interested in creating. Once I decided on the Fall/Autumn design that corresponded to the season this project was completed, I had to investigate how I could replicate that design on the material. Since thin lines are too difficult to weed out the cutout areas that are not included in the design. I ended up resketching my thumbnails and created a more varied width style for this design.
